I also strongly suggest that you pick a pack that has interesting and challenging files. I sure as hell wouldn't come play F4 or F5, I'd be bored out of my mind, but Light Chancellors or Xoon? Even Odi2 or Odi3 would be ok.

edit: As for F4/F5, I can see most of these being index. Some, I question like the 800-1000+ taps but, I could be wrong. I am looking at them from statistics wise. I am limiting index to around 500-800 taps? (Depends on tempo/length.) However, you have to remember, you can't stick with just hard index. You have to give easy index a chance to be included as well. (However, you can't include too many packs either. That causes a problem...)
edit: Actually, is one handed, 2-3 fingers considered index? (Probably not but that's how I played back in the old days. Not anymore... I tried it and I suck. I tried actual index and I play worse. I still can't comprehend index. It's too damn hard. I would rather play 1 handed in this case.)

Also, there are index packs that came out before people got good at pad...
Opinions:
Take out - Subliminal (way too easy), spectrum (chart differences are very minimal for kb players, just a waste of space), Bearpocalypse (most chsrts are in previous packs listed, redundant), sssc 1 and 2 (those packs are awful), all hsmp (extremely varied quality and so many charts are just impossible), sharpnelstreamz (many other packs have sharpnel files that cater to kb players. Itll just get confusing to select)
Things to consider: SMO (great pack for index players), f4/f5. Also, kbc packs are totally indexable :)

From facebook's post of mine, I suggested that we try getting everyone to play this day and have one giant room and have some fun playing stepmania. It seems that the best idea thusfar is to pick something common that everyone can play. I suggested ITG. Another suggestion was tachyon. If you have any other ideas, please feel free to post packs we could try. As of right now, the current time of starting is 8PM (gtm). (10 PM Eastern) Yeah, I am not good with time zones. However, you can google it and figure it out if need be... (Not something I deal with often.)
Anyway, If you are interested, please join us on Sept. 7 and let's play some SMO!
edit: If this time is not good for you but you can still play, go ahead and start a room when you can. (It's okay with me. Some others might even come as well.)
edit: If difficulty becomes a issue, we can make 2 separate rooms. One for hard files and one for average files. Skill does not really matter to me and nor should it for everyone else. I just want to get together and play some SMO.
