Stepmania Online

Thanks for a quick response. I know how to make .zip files, I just was under the impression that it had to be a .smzip file. I'm about a half week into tinkering with StepMania. If I make a .zip file of a song folder from 3.9, can I copy it it as it is (step-chart and whatnot) to SM5 (and vice versa...

They work fine on SM5, but I can't seem to get them playing on SM 3.9. I'm thinking it could be a codec problem but I've looked around online and I'm finding it difficult to get a straight answer.
