On the beta server (people please test if you can on port 9999) the room status update now properly shows status for password, room busy or open for players. You can no longer join rooms where people are playing.
This will likely be pushed out to the main server tomorrow night.
edit: Actually saw a good opportunity (only 2 people on the server) to update this tonight.
