Versus Mode when choosing a profile both cursors are stuck

Versus Mode when choosing a profile both cursors are stuck
When trying to choose P1 profile the P2 icon is stuck. I get an error saying only one player can choose a profile at a time. I therefore can't play with a friend at my house on StepMania Online, or if I had all four of my dance pads on two computers hooked up at once and wanted us all to join SMO it won't work I have to have a computer / TV for EACH PERSON... Can this be fixed, I used to be able to play SMO with two players on one PC.

On old smo you could play two players at the same time?
