Perhaps I just hit all of the worst files or something when I flipped through the 4th section, because I've tried a few more tonight and they are far closer to the expected quality I imagined they would be at. I won't say that the files I played were amazing by any means, but they were about passable.

The files I checked out before SM crashed because of whatever is up with the 1000BPM SPREAD TEST simfile were:
Ievan Polkka
Pika Girl
Just a Dream

I felt a little effort in those, which is always nice. I'll try more of the pack tomorrow and see if other files like this exist, because if they do, then it at least proves to me that he is trying to make files. If he can find someone willing, perhaps he can get advice and practice in fixing fairly persistent issues with things like PR, layering, ghost notes, missed steps for notable sounds, odd patterns, etc.

Maybe I shouldn't have edit 1000BPM SPREAD TEST you can all delete that 1 song if you want and don't worry my next one I'll do will be only edited in SM5 (Question. Which SM5 version is better for you?)
