Hello here's my W.I.P. simfiles I been working on, been going on a off on creating simfiles, i will try and finish them and make more pro-pad, for now here's my sloppy simfiles. A bit messy but worth a try, can be played with Key or pad.




Hard 10
A bit sloppy at the beginning need to make it more pattern organized. still a fun sloppy simfile try it with a pad



Hard 12
This one is a weird pattern one, still kinda fun



Hard 13
this song is a long version a bit hard recommend for keyboard if you're brave enough like me try it on a pad, the step patterns are just crazy in this one, like I said, I will try to clean it up!

I think this one is a fun well constructed , still need a little bit of cleaning.

this one is a mess meant to be a keyboard simfile, i will try to make it a pad simfile. till now its a little bit off sync.

This simile is kinda funny, the patterns are awrkward. A pad/key simfile

My fav song from dj noriken , a keyboard simile, a bit choppy with the mp3 cuts. I will fix it. Overall this simfile is okay.

dj silverberg is another alias from dj TAKA, this simfile is a fun and fast passe. I think its pad friendly, only for pros though

This simfile is exciting still need some work! The BN height is kinda to tall need a resizing.

This is one my favorite simfile I've created so far. The step are great still need some polishing though, and the mines positioning are kinda sloppy.

KHARIS is one of my favorite songs from XIO a UK hardcore artist from Japan, The steps are insanely placed. Possible with a pad though if your a pro

Core mc is a mc from united states and i think moved to Japan to work with Japanese artistes. He is one of my fav mc, he is signed to sprite recordings along side with XIO. The steps are IDK sloppy? I think i made this simfile BPM a bit too fast.

Lets sing in my love voice "YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH". lol this is one of my fav remixes from Massive New Krew, didn't like the original that much, The Overall steps are good but need some reorganizing. Fun SIMFILE though, Pad friendly I think.

Love this Simfile, My number 1 choice on trying it on a Pad. the steps are evenly patterned i think? still need some adjustments. And the banner is a bit small needs some resizing

A massive Catchy hardstyle song by Massive New Krew The steps are very sloppy needs time to finish.

A sexy song , Split BPM, Okay steps, HARDCORE!

The song tag and on the banner Forgot to mention DJ Genki because he did the original. Cittan* is also part of the sprite records, These steps are just Insane need some repairing. KEYBOARD!

Another Infinity vs MK feat. Mayumi Morinaga - Rise from ashes, is a chilling deep song. the steps are weird needs cleaning.

In the simfile song tag i misspelled kubota, the steps are good but needs some cleaning, Keyboard or maybe pad friendly. Long simfile

This Simfile is unique, Pad Friendly for sure, but u might want to lower your volume. EXPLOSIVE BASS.

OH wow we seem to have a great compatibility in musical taste, judging from that simfile list
Kharis is real good indeed! I like his remix of スターチス the most though

I'd love to give these files a whirl, but if those ratings are ITG-style, I doubt I can pass most of them xD
Going to check some of these out nevertheless

Yeah!, Thats cool XIO and his fellow label mates from sprite recordings are the best.

I will try to make a simfile for スターチス (XIO Remix). Maybe more songs from the M-30 and C83 events
After I finish these files. Turn them into a complete pack.

Me and a friend of mine are already working on a simfile for スターチス (XIO Remix) actually haha, it's almost finished too
I'll try to give you some constructive feedback for some files so you know what to look out for

Right now I have unpacked the pack, but haven't tested it in StepMania yet.
I had a look at wE AiN't.
Here's what I can tell you in advance just by looking at the files and the .sm contents, bolded part applies to simfiles in general, the rest is specific for wE AiN't:

It is good practice to delete every .old file in your folder before you release it. Since this is an alpha/beta release it's no problem, but when you release it officially as a final version, get rid of all .old files because they serve no purpose and just clutter the folder
(So in this case, wE AiN't.dwi.old, wE AiN't.sm.old and wE AiN't.ssc.old should be deleted)

It is also good practice to label your graphics files with appropriate suffixes. You did it for the jacket, but not for the others.
(So in this case, wE AiN't.jpg should be renamed to wE AiN't-bg.jpg, and wE AiN't.png should be renamed to wE AiN't-bn.png)

MP3: I noticed the mp3 was encoded with VBR (Variable Bitrate). I've heard VBR gives trouble on some occassions with StepMania so to be safe you should always use CBR (Constant Bitrate) encoded mp3s.

I saw you used 170.001 BPM for the file. This value is wrong D: it should be 175.000! Because you used the wrong BPM, I predict that your whole chart is also slightly off-sync throughout the whole song.

Finally, I noticed that you have an offset of 0.000 for the file. I can assure you that 0.000 being a correct offset is extremely rare! It is important to get the right BPM first, and from there on determine the right offset. I can guarantee you in any case that the offset for this file can not possibly be 0.000



Once again, these are all my observations based on the files only, haven't checked it in StepMania yet.
If you have any questions or you're not sure how to get something done exactly, feel free to ask!
And to anyone else who disagrees with what I said or notices I made a mistake somewhere, I'll gladly hear it, the more opinions/info we have the better

Just the file huh...

All of my offset for all songs are at 0.000 , I don't like using offset. I like to try to get the right BPM.
anyways thanks for your "file" review. Hope to see your スターチス (XIO Remix) Simfile.

Maybe we can do a collab pack later on, and i will make sure i will label my graphic files corretly

Thanks for the advice foxfire667, I didn't know.

I am an ON and OFF simfile artist, sometimes I forget what certain options I have in on creating a simfile I ain't no pro on making simfiles.
In the future I will surely use the Offset more

These simfiles will be cleaned up, I will try to make these simfile complete and worth playing for other people.
Keep coming with the Tips and Advice!

Haha yeah, and thanks man, starting tomorrow and every sunday I will put full time on finishing and perfecting my simfiles.
probably next month this pack will fully complete.

Yeah stepmania and bemanistyle websites put down all of my first simfiles, and i didn't get a chance to save some..because my old computer crashed and stopped working.
I have some saved on my tapmania on my ipod touch lol.

Now I got a custom made laptop, with full protection.
This minute I am reading on how to make a better simfile with those links that @@ provided me.
