Greetings SMO users. I am new to this world, and so this may be a ridiculously dumb question but please hear me out cuz I have searched and searched and have not been able to find anything on the forums. So I logon to SMO create a private room and my freind and I meet in there. we both have the same song packs and same Stepmania version (beta 1a). we start the song and it registers my steps, but it won't register his. On his end he says it registers his steps, but it won't register mine. :? ANy ideas what might be causing this and how to fix? Thanks very much.

P.S. we can chat no prob in lobby.
p.p.s. I am on medium and he plays on easy (for now).

I'm not exactly sure I understand what you mean by "registering". According to your profile you have played 7 songs where you have at least hit some notes.

Are you using a pad or a keyboard? And have you made sure to set up the key config in options to the keys you are trying to play on?
