Stepmania Online

Is stepmania 5 beta 1a score mess up or what because I just did a full combo song and 4773 is my score with AA. Or is it different scoring system from stepmania 3.95 and 4?

Well im just confuse atm.

What would you expect your grade to be? You got a full combo but you had greats. You cant get a AAA unless you get all perfects or better.

I think beelee is referring to his score of 4773, which is messed up.
If that's the case then yes, something between Alpha 3 and Beta 1 got changed which messed up the scoring.

Ah, I see it now. Luckily nothing on smo is based off of that score because it is inconsistent across client versions. Your DP ratio and percentage are what you should be looking at and it is what is used to determine who is in 1st to last.

Im not talking about grades im talking about the score its weird compare to stepmania 4 where i get about 230 mill and on stepmania 5 i only get 4777 score I bring up the AA because lol its weird having an AA with ---> 4777 score <---- I switch back to sm4 and got 230 mill score and got an S which I believe is an AA im happy about my grade and score on there but on stepmania 5 I cant seem to understand the scoring system no matter how many song i played the best score are range 2000-5000 or is it just me that is weird. Well anyways im switching back to sm4.

Yeah that the problem Thank you for the link but is there a solution to it yet? If not then I might uninstall sm5 and just play it on sm4.

Also score matter for me because I like to challenge myself to beat my old score. haha

This is a client based issue and can't be resolved from smo. But it seems that the stepmania developers know of the issue already so in some time they will likely fix it. As for challenging yourself you can still use smo's percentage grading system.

For example on this song that you played 4 times.

You can view just that song and have it sort from best to worst. So all you have to do is play on smo and let everything be recorded.
