OK I can understand that people want to practice a. it before playing with other people.... it everyday in a password room???! This is getting ridiculous..like wtf is the point of even coming online then?? I honestly don't get it...I vote that passwords should jus be removed and just have it so that when you knock people they just can't rejoin.....this is supposed to be special not loner status to be a high rank.........

There always seems to be rooms without passwords on SMO, so I'm not really sure what the issue is here. Removing passwords is a bad idea, considering that they are used to keep random joiners out when you are trying to do something with others (such as play on rates, play songs from obscure packs, or play with only one or two people you know). Plus, for those who play on password protected rooms alone, SMO has stats, exp, leaderboards, and score recording features regular SM cannot touch. Some people probably are only using SMO for such statistics most of the time, and might not always want to play with others. While I will say that people who use password protected rooms to play alone should also use the /secret command so their rooms do not clutter the public rooms list, removing passwords altogether is not going to happen.
It would just piss off a bunch of users, and make them abuse the /kick command (because I'm sure simply writing "do not join" on an unprotected room would only entice people to join it more). If you can't find any good rooms to play in, just make your own. It only takes a few minutes to find someone to play with most of the time.

Why not make /secret the default. and create a /public command. Make a notice when teh user joins that to be public a command is needed.

Yea. SMO is really nifty in logging your progress over time, so it has more uses than being able to play with others online. The best way to increase activity on the server is pretty simple. Spread the word and invite more people to try out SMO. If you want activity try advertising and scouting out new players; there's all kinds of forums and social networks to share SMO on.
