Not that many people play with the intention of cheesing the leaderboards but there are a couple out there that I have noticed. The only one I'm positive about was juan.pro, who made 3 or 4 different accounts and suddenly had a huge MA boost (he was starting to compete with oldCartoon in MA...yeah). I think his main alternate name was (H)

FYI you should only reset the scores on 3.9, for example all my rate scores are legit from SM5. I'm pretty sure you just wouldn't blanket reset XP for people who have used rates but I just wanted to mention that yes, it is possible to play online legit with rates using SM5.

By 'rate' do you mean the speed rate? Or is there another option that 'rate' is...?
I'm downloading all the packs I like from the main website and wanted to know what this 'rate' stuff was before I started playing online. Are you guy's saying that we can only play StepMania Online with the default 2.0 rate?

Well I am on that list too, well I want to explain in case I would be banned or I dont know.
I use Stepmania 5 Beta 3 BTW, I normally I play with rate 1.0x, songs are LV1 to 16 aprox.. I just play with rates 0.8x or 0.9x songs that are 19+ for practice only... Obviously this makes a invalid Score comparing Players that play the same songs at 1.0x
Now I dont know if I can still using low rate or just use 1.0x for practice.

You guys should put a list on the homepage with how many times have we played songs on rates below 1.0.
EDIT: Not all of them, but like, the top 10, kinda like you do with the best players

Are this guys hackers?
When one of us get AAA the score is 9945678 for example and when we get AAAA the score is 10000000 or 2000000, right?
I play with science, and he get so many misses playing the song, I look at his combo and he misses all the time, like that:
1,2,3,4,5,...,40 ... miss ) x20
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,....20... miss ) x15
total misses: 35 misses
but at the end his score said:
Grade: AA
Score: 9256788
Percent: 91.46%
.
.
.
Miss: 5
Combo: 1090
and my score is 9777777, percent: 97.56% but HE WIN ALL THE TIME
Is that possible?

The reason why my combo drops so much even when I'm FC'ing a song is because I'm on Judge 9.

Yes, that's true. I can say for a fact that sci uses judge 9 most of the time. Myth busted!
