Key map problem

I'm having a problem setting my keys on stepmania 5 beta 4.
I've re installed in about 4 times and i've deleted the keymaps and also tried to edit them as well, but no luck. I set the keys and press save to disc. i exit the game and it's some random same keys set. i even tried saving to disc and restoring from disc straght after and it brings up the old setting. This is happening to my pc (windows7) and my cousins pc(mac) exact same problem. any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Hmm... I never had any issue with keys before like that... I have a suggestion though, try one of these builds and see if the problem persists.

It's not a big deal, i just have to change two keys every time I start up stepmania 5 beta 4. I'll just live with it for now, appreciate your reply mate. sorry it's taken so long for me to acknowledge your help.

the stepmania forum i went on gave me an answer. it's the key '\' that i was using. it's something they they use in the code of the ini file. i just changed that key and it's now saving! i'll look up that new stepmania as well!
