Improving timing

Hello guys, I've recently started stepmania again, after 5 years of inactivity. would describe my skill level as "decent", not anywhere near what I would think is good, but at least Im having fun.:yay:

My question is if you guys are tweaking the globaloffset and videovisualdelay in the stepmania.ini, and if it would help with my timing. My timing has never been good, but Im using a samsung monitor which has a 2ms delay, and I was wondering if it was possible to counteract this delay in the sm ini files. Other tips on improving timing would also be appreciated. thanks

All I can suggest is you read my syncing section/watch my syncing video. Otherwise, I can't really help much there sorry.

Stepmania 5 has a way to sync your global offset in the options. It plays a series of beeps that are equally apart and you click them on the beat of the music and it auto adjusts your offset.
