You mean to tell me you found a dead pack basically completely in tact in your possession, and then after that decided to upload it?! Well what I wonderful day this is, I greatly appreciate your desire to get this archived! While I don't see much pump action around here, at least now it's available to anyone who wants to play it, which is the real goal anyway.

Background edits aren't too much of a big deal, "basically in-tact" works here I think (I didn't say completely). You could attempt to retrieve previously deleted files with programs like if you are hellbent on getting the originals back.

I get it. The bare-minimum for simfiles is the audio file and the stepchart file. But in this case, I want to find those original BGs as the new StepMania emphasizes a widescreen view.

Also, thanks for suggesting that recovery program but it's no use in this situation. Not only were the files deleted about 6-7 years ago (therefore probably making the software useless), but I'm sure that if I found this pack in the HD, I'm certain I've kept the original contents of the pack somewhere in there. I just haven't found the time to look.

But whatever. You have a point in that what is there is enough and that's why I provided the pack in the first place. And for those who want the original 16:9 BGs, if I find them, I'll put up a separate pack here.

You could have deleted the contents 20 years ago and it will still work. The only thing that matters is whether or not you moved enough content onto the drive after deletion to make it overwrite the deleted contents. When you "delete" stuff on your computer the only thing you're doing is telling your drive that the space can be overwritten. If you have a couple of hours to sift through several thousand deleted entries you should at least find remnants of it. It might not be recoverable of course, but it's worth a look if you're interested in getting the originals. You can search for image files, and the originals will probably have the same name as your edited ones so you can refine it down that way too.

This would actually be an excellent base for my pump conversions since there is so many MGD songs out there that I've wanted to make 5 panel charts for.
