Since SMO is able to check SM ini's now to see whether or not users fall under the "TIMING" category, I feel that it may be possible for the site to know whether or not a user is specifically playing on J7. If this is impossible, then never mind this suggestion.
If it is possible though, I think it would be really great if when users were specifically on J7, the site would automatically take the scores and bump them up one level in terms of accuracy. The neat thing about J7 is that the accuracy grades are tighter in such a way that they are exactly one level stricter than they are on J4 (as in Perfects become in the Marvelous range, Greats become in the perfect range, Goods become in the great range, etc). So essentially if someone got 867 Marvelous, 33 perfects, and 2 greats on J7 for a song, I am essentially requesting that the server would automatically turn this into 900 Marvelous and 2 perfects when it is recorded into the leader-boards.
I know those who have never bothered to try J7 would wonder why someone would want to significantly tighten their timing window, but it is actually extremely beneficial to those attempting to get decent MA or quad files. This is because being on J7 allows you to see you are hitting certain patterns slightly incorrectly by giving you a perfect judgement, while still technically being in the Marvelous timing window. Aside from this, you are also given multiple psychological benefits which help in obtaining better MA and quad scores, such as being able to "hit perfects". Since you are not technically constrained to only hit Marvelous on J7 and still get a quad, you feel as if you have more room when you are attempting to obtain these sorts of scores. Also since you are only holding an "AAA" when on J7 going for quads, as well as consistently hitting perfects, you aren't as nervous when you are actually quadding or getting exceptional MA scores.
In only the two days I've used J7, I have gotten several new quads and have an improved MA since the switch. I will no doubt be using J7 more often to obtain MA scores in the future because of all the help it's given me. I just feel that when I pull these quads off they should actually show up on the leader-boards as such, and that playing on J7 shouldn't appear as a hindrance when in reality it is the exact opposite. I feel that a lot of the higher tier players who try for quads and MA will highly appreciate this sort of addition to SMO.

It's a great idea for me.
Somehow I want to try J7 because of this thread o.0
Quick Question: So If I got FC on J7, did I get AAA on J4?

Currently studying how to do 230+ bpm stream and 150+ bpm JS. Skill drop :X

It actually is impossible. The server can't check the .ini. A marvelous on judge 4 with the same offset as a marvelous hit on judge 7 will look the same to the server.
You could apply some formulas to check average offset and compare it to predefined timing windows for different judgings, but it still wouldnt be perfect.

Re: Have J7 scores appear as J4 equivalent
This is not impossible to add to the server. Right now we basically have a check that the client is at least J4. We could apply the same logic to check if someone is playing at least J7. This would be accurate most of the time, but not always as the server would be guessing based on your offsets.
I would consider implementing this feature if enough people think its useful.
How many people are playing on J7?
Also if getting a quad is easier on J7 cause perfects dont freak you out, then is it really as good as getting a Quad on J4?

Okay, we will be putting something to a vote in a bit. We have two methods of handling j7. Please wait for the announcement shortly so we can figure out the best route.
