Adding options on second page to smo?

Postby blind » Sun Jan 20, 2013 8:42 pm

Hey, I was wondering if you can add certain options to the selection menu on smo. Like clap for example. It doesn't affect gameplay like song rate does, so I don't see why it shouldn't be done. My main concern is if it's doable....

I personally don't think that is a good idea because clap may not affect game play but on that same menu screen there are things that can like music rate which would end the song sooner for you than everyone else because it speeds it up. I am not even sure if you can apply that without it affecting everyone else.

(like they may need to be on the same rate as you for it to work maybe?)

Or Battery mode which would give you 4 chances to get anything below a great before failing you. I could be wrong though. Unless you meant putting clap on the main screen and leaving out the other options which I wouldn't even begin to know how to go about applying that.

These would all have to be done client side. I'm assuming "clap" is assist tick? If that is the case then you can just push F7 to turn it on at the start of a game.

F7? Heh I didn't know that. I only use it when making simfiles in the edit mode and its F4, as F7 is what changes the BPM. You learn something new every day. :)

Oh, cool. That works then. Thanks a lot Izzy!

Wait, what's assist tick? a sound on every 4th? I would like clap because it makes a "clap" when an arrow goes by. If that is what assist tick does, then I'm golden. If not, I need to figure out how to get clap on the first set of options.

Clap and assist tik are the same thing. :) Clap is to assist tik, as Holds are to freeze arrows.

I guess in sm5 it is called "clap", but up until that point it was always called "assist tick".
