DDR/ITG OFFICAL SONG ROOM

Hey guys, first let me say that i know pad players and especially DDR stepcharts are not very common here, so if im pissing in the wind so be it.

I would like to start a sort of official ITG/DDR room where people can go to play songs from the official mixes, not have to ask if people are KB or PAD, and not have to wonder what packs people will have.

My idea is to post the NAME and DESCRIPTION of the room in this thread, but only circulate the password via pm. Anyone that has the password can start the room at any time if it is not there when they log on, and then that way the room will always (eventually i hope) be there.


I will post links to each pack required (i know it sounds silly but this way everyone is in the same page) and people will expected to only join if they have ALL of the packs. If this is something a few people want to do, just post in this thread or PM me (rather you post here) and eventually i will do an OP rewrite and we can get this started. I joined a DDR only room today that had about 6 people and it was crazy fun, so i figured this is something that would be a great idea.

I really want to get some fixed rooms setup for stuff like this. We had a rather buggy implementation of it before, but it's definitely worth revisiting. A fixed room would jut be there regardless of people being in the room or not.

For now I if people are interested, this method may work as well.

I need to compile a list of every american AC and CS pack from 1st MIX till now and once i have the list i will grab all the packs. create an MD5 for the packs and then people can PM me the MD5 hash for the password. This way no one will be in the room who is missing packs.

I thought i had them all but someone wanted to play some MAX song that i didnt have which kind of blew my mind.

Anyone that knows of an existing list that would give me a huge headstart.

I'd love to see fixed rooms with a list of associated packs that it checks in your packlist table and either lets you in your tells you to /scan if you haven't and/or download the necessary packs.

I have a massive collection of about 40gb of songs that are coming to me in the mail soon via Prayerwarrior (the creator and entrepreneur behind the OMEGA GX dance pad) that has basically every DDR/ITG/WTFEVER song so i should be able to do a simple folder that contains everything and use the overwrite feature to weed out duplicates to have the minimal packs needed. Im still workong on the logistics of this, but in the mean time i have just been creating a "DDR/ITG PAD" room without a password and at one point had 6 people in the room, so there is definitely a demand for this

I mean, this may be a stretch, but would it be possible to actually host the songs server side and make it so when you enter that room the song selection wheel only chooses from those songs and not the ones you actually have?
