This package does not exist in some other way and that was me who compiled more than five years ago ... I hope being assaulted rather because it is a complete package too difficult and complex, besides that this package is a great stepmaker ... bye!!

If any of you could, I would love to know if any of you have the following packs in your possession. It would be amazing if Qqwref and I could cross a few of these completely missing packs off from this list.


EDIT: I should add in the first post exactly what I do with packs, how I define them, preferences, and what might get changed slightly before uploading them. Just in case anyone was particularly interested, or wondered why things might be different from how they got the pack from an original source (or secondary source outside of SMO).

I came back here because I noticed the Download page needed updating, though it isn't really related to the packs...
I felt that making an entire new thread for this was a bit too much though, so I hope my post isn't completely misplaced here since you can edit the Download page foxfire.

What I wanted to let you know is that the StepMania 5 links are outdated, Beta 2a was released a good while ago:

The repository moved to http://code.google.com/p/stepmania/ too.
I think it'd be a good idea to update those links, if you have the authority to :P there's a good bunch of useful improvements in it if I'm not mistaken.



Edit: Oh! And I wanted to let you know that "Stepmania Paradise Reborn Volume 1" is a hybrid pack... though actually it's just 1 pad-only file amongst a collection of keyboard files :'] But well, that'd still make it hybrid I guess :3

Requesting that my two simfile packs be added to the database, /scan, and downloads.

Both of my packs are pad packs.

Please note that I update my megapacks rather than merely do individual small-pack releases, so I'll let you guys know when I release an updated megapack such that your database/downloads would require an update.

* My main megapack, regardless of its current-release subtitle, should be listed by /scan as either "AOH Main" or "AOHMP" or similar (depending on what kinda shorthand you wanna use).

Absolutely man, not a problem. I find it funny though that you recently ran across my site all by yourself.

You can keep the dates in the download links; they should be in those. For abbreviations, I was only talking about how the scan's /commonpacks and /showpacks commands should display them in shorthand.

I didn't expect you to add the Picks Packs; those are indeed compilations of packs that I did not personally author (as the Simfiles page on my website says). I'm happy to see you decided you wanted to include them anyway though. Those do also get a few updates a year as I play more stuff I like. If you plan to continue offering the Picks Packs, I'll make sure I let you guys know when I update those packs too.

To clarify for anyone who might still not be sure:
* I did author the "Ace Of Hearts" packs.
* I did not author the Picks Packs' contents.

Didn't know /scan seldom got updated. Then again, I've not really been around here (since the new server came up) very much. I still think though that it's very impressive you guys manage even as well as you do, given how many packs are out there to potentially put in your database.

It's an honor to have my packs listed on the SMO download page, and it makes me very happy.

Again, it'll be my honor to let you know when a new release of any of my packs occurs. After all, if I don't tell anyone, how will they know?

Yeah I found it among the chaos of the r21freak forums about two days ago. I check there for new packs every once and a while.

Also you're welcome! It's always wonderful to actually be in contact with those who make packs so everything can be represented the way they'd like, I know when updates are out, and that I'm not missing anything.

I guess with all the packs you have available here, being in contact with a stepartist whose pack(s) you offer is less the case than you'd like. So many authors who have no idea you're offering their pack and can't voice their appreciation.

But you have me, and you have my deepest appreciation.

I do have a fair amount of materials for the next pack iteration I'm planning, but I'd wager that it'll still be 2 months or more before my next pack is finished. Like I say on my website, I don't generally give slated dates - because I don't like to rush myself: it gets done when it gets done. When you say "it'll be done by such-and-such a date," things can end up rushed, and thus lower-quality than you'd otherwise like. So my policy of "don't promise release dates" really helps to improve the quality of my work.

Not to mention the fact that I've been doing this since January 2008; it's been 6 years now. I didn't initially think that'd be seen as a particularly long time, but apparently, most players - and even stepartists - seem to think that makes me a veteran - with which I won't argue.

I'm sure the SMO newbies will particularly appreciate my main pack, as well as my dedication to producing simfiles that have all 5 difficulty levels. In that, already, it is a given that the addition of my pack to the download list will be appreciated by those seeking easier charts. Given my charting style, even experts who appreciate difficult pad-style charts should find the more difficult songs in my pack to be at least fairly challenging, and more importantly, fun.

If you are interested in putting anything up on the smo news let me know. There has been a lack of news to report here so putting up some new packs seems worthwhile to me.
