How to crash everyone you're playing with

Skwid figured this out yesterday:

If you enter the options screen right as a song is starting you will crash everyone else you are playing with.

Not sure if this can be fixed at all. Its relatively hard to reproduce given how small the time window is that you can do this.

it doesn't crash everyone it just causes the client to hang. There was a fix for this from the original developer but unfortunately it caused server crashes and didn't work quite right.

I guess it's more like a soft-lock, yeah, but since there's no way out of it it basically forces you to close stepmania entire and relaunch.

oh so the song does start at some point in time

I believe this should be fixed now as the server won't wait for all the clients to be ready if a song start is sent. Atleast I couldn't reproduce it after with izzy.
