Re: HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What exactly is the issue regarding using the song packs? If you are unsure of the procedure for how to use a StepMania pack, this is how it's done:
1) Open the downloaded pack
2) Extract the pack in it's entirety to your StepMania's song folder. If you are unsure where this is and use windows, you could use the start menu, go to all programs, StepMania, open StepMania programs folder, and go to songs. If that isn't a possibility, you could check the properties of the StepMania shortcut you use and open the files location, and find it that way (it will put you in the program folder, go up a level and then go to the songs folder).
Be sure it is in a specific structure, the pack has to be in the songs folder a certain way in order to work. For example, if I download ATomik and extract it to the songs folder, it HAS to be /Songs/[Pack Name]/[Songs Within The Pack]/, so in this case /Songs/ATomik/[songs in the pack]. If the songs aren't in a pack folder, they will not be loaded, and if a pack is in multiple folders (like for example Songs/[Pack name]/[Pack Name]/[Songs in the pack]) they will not load either. All packs hosted on SMO have the exact same structure, so all you have to do is extract it straight into the songs folder and be good to go every time.
Hopefully that answers your questions, if not, I'll try and help you with whatever other issues you might be having!

Re: HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just want to mention something with the directory structure to lower confusion.
The above poster is right with regards to the folder structure in general, but what should be mentioned is that the in the pack folder, each song in the pack must consist of the song sound file (either an MP3 or OGG file) and the song script (either a DWI or SM file) contained in its own separate folder. This setup will automatically be done for you by the zip extraction program if you don't play with the settings, but like the above poster said, make sure you extract the zip files you download into the stepmania "Songs" folder.

Re: HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe there should be a link/post about how stepmania loads things/where to put them? (such as themes, songs, noteskins, etc.) Might be useful for beginners. (If such a post exists on any SM related forums, it should be linked here. Also, translated as well.)
