Need help with servers

I know how to connect to servers, but from there on end, I have no idea what to do. When I join a room, I'm always bombarded with people asking me to scan, and I know how to do that, but then they say i'm doing something wrong. I apologise if this forum doesn't make any sense as i'm new to SMO. If there is any forum that answers this question, it would be greatly appreciated if someone could forward it to me.

From what I can tell (assuming that Minimaxx is also your SM profile) you have scanned before, and have some downloaded packs listed in the database.

It could be that users want you to get more packs, as the list I see on your profile is pretty underwhelming. Additionally you can't just grab any few packs and expect to be able to play with everyone. You should download more well known packs for your play style, and then rescan after doing so. You can get such packs by going to .

The more packs you have, the less you will lack in the future. If you're missing a pack, ask for the name and download it afterwards. If you're missing a whole bunch of packs, I'd suggest leaving the room to not be a nuisance to others. Also don't join rooms that are using different play styles than you, as generally you'll have very different pack content from each other.

i've realised my problem now which is that I have been actually downloading packs from the Zenius-i-Vanisher website and not from this website [https://zenius-i-vanisher.com/v5.2/simfiles.php?category=simfiles]. Thanks once again
