Setting up user profile while keeping machine scores?
I've been playing stepmania for a few months now, but I recently realized that I was playing without my own profile. Is there a way to create a profile and give it the scores that are stored on the machine profile right now? Is there an option for this in the game or would I have to do it manually? Also, I'm on a Mac btw. Any help would be appreciated, sorry if this is a dumb question.

Re: Setting up user profile while keeping machine scores?
Uhh, IIRC, there is a option in SM5 to do this. It is in profile options/settings in game. (I never tried it myself but, I'll load SM and see what I can find...)
Edit: Err, I guess not? There is a 'merge into machine profile' but, that's the opposite you want... Well, you *might* be able to copy the machine profile over to profiles and edit some stuff to make it work... All your records are in there. -
C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Roaming\StepMania 5\Save\MachineProfile\Stats.xml
and would have to go to... -
C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Roaming\StepMania 5\Save\LocalProfiles\<PROFILE_ID_NUMBER>\Stats.xml
(NOTE: There are other files besides these. However, that is what you are after.)
I don't believe I have ever attempted this. Let me know if you want to try... Honestly, I don't know profiles well enough to do this right now. Although, I might be able to try...
Edit 2: Well, it seems simple enough... You would have to copy all the "<Song>" tags in "<SongScores>" to get the values/data. However... It needs to know the ID for the profile you used... (The Profile ID Number. Without the extra 0s...) That would be a pain to do if you have a lot of scores... If there are very few, it's not worth it. Just make a new profile and start over... If there are a lot and you actually want to save them all... Have fun editing all that... (and I am not even 100% sure that is everything. I am probably missing something...)
Edit 3: Honestly, I recommend you just start over unless you have the time to do this. The machine scores will still be there. (As long as you don't delete them in the debug menu or break/delete the .xml file...)
